Phthalic anhydride

Phthalic anhydride is primarily used in the production of polyester resins, with additional applications in the manufacture of alkyd resins for paints and lacquers, insect repellents, and urethane polyester polyols. It is also used as a rubber scorch inhibitor and retarder.
